So, I was planning a “Spring Organizing” theme for this week, but, well, I couldn’t get organized. Heh. Is that irony or just a fail? Even if I can’t organize theme weeks, I have been able to get some organizing done around here. Go me! As you know, I have a huge love for cookbooks. [...]  I’ve been wanting a chalkboard in my kitchen for a long time. I’m always scavenging through the piles of frames/artwork at our local HomeGoods, hoping I’ll find ‘the one’. I’ve come across all manner of chalkboards with hogs in chef’s hats or roosters announcing tonight’s dinner menu. There is nothing wrong with that [...] As I have mentioned before, I’m sort of a budget nazi when it comes to making purchases for myself. I love to buy presents, have no problem when we buy stuff for the family, or when there is something we need to get. But, spend money on myself? Now that’s a little harder for me [...] I recently saw this spice cabinet project from Smitten Kitchen and couldn’t help myself. I’m a sucker for all things glass, so thinking of my beloved spices all gussied up in glass jars was just irresistible. Not to mention, I like to buy my spices at Penzey’s Spices (we have a local shop in [...] Sometimes when I’m reading other people’s blogs, I get the impression that I’m the only person who can’t keep it together 24/7.
