This past weekend was exceptionally warm for these parts. We were in the 70s – 80s all weekend! It was just glorious. It seemed like everyone emerged from the winter hibernation to get some yard work done. It was particularly perfect timing for me as I had been hoping to get my spring planting done. [...] It’s April 1st if you hadn’t noticed. That means it should be spring, right? Well, someone forgot to tell the Midwest. We had a few warmish (50′s) days two weeks ago, but have been stuck in freezing temps since then. But for the moment (I know I’m jinxing myself) there is no snow [...] Yesterday we finally took advantage of this beautiful weather to get a little gardening done. We have very high hopes for gardening this year, which is a little intimidating since we know very little about the great outdoors. Our to-do list is fairly extensive, so we’ll see what actually gets done this planting season.
